Inverness is a good shopping centre with a pedestrianised High Street where the main chain stores are supplemented by many souvenir shops and a wide variety of specialist outlets.
The pedestrianised High Street is always very popular and with its unique blend of high street favourites and small Scottish shops, deservedly attracts visitors from all over the world.
The high street is directly linked to the recently expanded Eastgate Shopping Centre and is joined by many smaller streets. It starts with Church Street, the oldest in Inverness, Castle Street and Academy Street - all running North to South. Then the West to East streets of Queensgate, Union Street, Bridge Street running into the High Street and finally into the Eastgate Shopping Centre.
There are many familiar name shops and restaurants throughout these streets including, debenhams, marks and spencer,next, house of fraser, Bella Italia and pizza express.
